The crew heads to Seattle, WA to meet up with the Xtracted team and tour one of the premiere oil production companies in Washington state as they ramp up to meet the demands of a fully recreational market.
Federal authorities recently sent waves through the local extraction community in WA with the arrest and inditement of ten individuals all in connection with various open blasting operations that had resulted in explosions of some kind. Dubbed “Operation Shattered” federal officials associated with the still open case held a public press conference claiming the extraction process itself to be a violation of federal law in spite of the states attempt to regulate and legitimize the trade.
WA regulators have since put forward some basic guidelines for extracts and extraction, requiring the use of closed loop systems in commercially zoned locations, a move welcomed by the cannabis community at large.
